Are we bitter Americans

Sen. Barack Obama on Saturday tried to clarify what he meant when he said some small-town Pennsylvanians are "bitter" people who "cling to guns and religion."

"The underlying truth of what I said remains, which is simply that people who have seen their way of life upended because of economic distress are frustrated and rightfully so," he told the North Carolina newspaper. "And I hear it all the time when I visit these communities."

The Question is, are we bitter or are we happy with the government?

Yes, I do believe that the american people are unhappy with our government and many feel that it is time for a change. We may not all agree on who we feel that the right candidate is (GO OBAMA!)to make that change but we can all agree that the current economic situation is a mess and that in order to rectify the situation, we need change. Until the changes occur, we will continue to be bitter Americans.

Bitter is putting it mildly, in last eight years U.S. has continuously to lose its status in the world and that in its self has made me not bitter but angry. We are moving in the wrong direction and we need someone in office who can make a different. The current administration seems to believe that we are happy Americans but we are not. We are proud Americans but not happy. If the government would treat us the way we treat the government, this country could reach out to the rest of the world with the people full support.

Americans are bitter, due to the current presidential cabinet and the economy. Noone is standing up for the little people, and that includes most Americans. Our children are dying in combat, our houses are in foreclosure, our young men are imprisoned, and our daughters are pregnant. We need change, but first and foremost we need GOD. Let's put God back into the school, courthouses, and OUR HOMES.
